The Logbook of A Sage
A person does not know what to do for a while, he wanders aimlessly with actions. He has only one purpose- to satisfy his physical and emotional needs. He wants something, he goes that way. Wants something else, and goes the other way. He doesn't have a compass. He thinks he is doing something, but his work is in vain. He is pleasant but empty. Then this person reaches KNOWLEDGE. Intellectual knowledge illuminates him. It helps him figure out what to do...if he has the will and effort, of course. Now he begins to know.
Knowing makes people fidget. It triggers it. Knowledge without action comes empty and he wants to apply what he knows. At this point, he discovers the importance of FORCE to overcome difficulties and barriers in the transition from inaction to action. He learns how much extra power a car needs to move forward. But he immediately realizes that just as ignorant action is futile, so also mindless force will yield no results.
Although he is now in action, he sees that he cannot achieve the results and successes he wants. Then he learns HOW to do as well as WHAT TO DO. Understands the importance of HOW to be effective. Just WHAT is not enough. HOW required.
But he sees that he still can't hit the target exactly. Because even though he is doing the right thing in the right way, he does not know WHEN and WHERE to do it. He loses many fights because he cannot use the timing and space correctly. This pisses him off. But by burning inside, he learns this over time.
He progresses, but it is still not where he wants to be. Because although he knows what, how, when, and where to act, he does not know with whom to do it. He is a part of society and there are people in every business. Life is for people. Action is for people. Then he understands the WHO part of the game. He himself discovers the truth of the advice given, "Tell me about your friend and I'll tell you who you are."
Now he is getting the results he wants, but everything is not quite right yet. Something is missing. He's not entirely happy with what he's done yet. He sees that the things he has been running for all this time are unimportant. He sees that the trees he climbed the highest were not in the right forest. That forest was not the forest that made him happy. At this stage, he discovers the POWER OF PURPOSE. He now lives knowing the importance of MEANING.
After a while, he finds his purpose and knows what to do, how, when, where and with whom. But this time, the people on the other side are not completely happy. He keeps wondering why. Then he realizes that BEAUTY and NOBILITY are lacking in his work. He must embellish his actions with beauty so that his actions speak without the need for advertising.
With the right action adorned with beauty and serving the right purpose, his wisdom begins to shine. However, every arrow he shoots does not hit the target exactly. That's why he starts to specialize in the art of WILL. It is willpower that ensures continuity.
He is happy to have strengthened his will, and he feels strong. But he sees that the ocean of being called life is bigger than him. Just as he feels that he is a wise king, he sees his helplessness in the face of life's tsunamis. Tsunamis hit him at the peak of life. Then he realizes that in order for beauty and success to be permanent in life, he had to pass the test of darkness. He understands what Jesus said by combining the two. It turned out that in this universe based on the harmonious dance of opposites, it was not possible to reach the light completely without going through the darkness. Here, as our passenger overcomes his tests with his shadows and his basic fears in the dark labyrinths of his ego, he learns to burn the fire of hope in himself by making his faith unshakable with FAITH and to wait for his time by developing PATIENCE.
Now he hits every target he sets with great expertise, harmony, and beauty. It feels great. It is as if he thinks his power is omnipotent and one day he falls ill. That's when he feels the presence of a power greater than himself. Now he understands the phenomenon called FATE. He realizes that he does not have the things he thinks he has, and that everything is entrusted to him. He realizes that even the doer is not himself and is grateful. He is satisfied with what comes from him and surrenders himself. This is not an empty surrender. He does his best and leaves the rest to God. If he cannot do the best he can, he stays in the flow with the virtue of acceptance and reads the messages of life for his evolution. He becomes a silent yet heartful witness.
There is no longer any pain or suffering for him in this world. He is now a sage.
